ISHRS provides continuing medical education to licensed experienced physicians specializing in hair loss and restoration surgery and encourages the free exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences among its members. It also serves as a source for the public about the latest medical and surgical treatments for hair restoration due to hair loss.

In the transition to a virtual meeting format, the content of the ISHRS Congress was expanded to nine days, with a well-designed schedule so that participants could participate in more sessions and workshops than usual.
